No, we didn't. As a Country we elected a party that will help bring us back to "greatness" by activing with morals, integrity, and dignity. But as a Country we stripped the rights of a minority in 4 seperate states. Homosexuals are not a "special interest" group. They (we) are citizins of this Country who, on Tuesday, were marginalized and were told we could not marry or be trusted with children that the rest of society has overlooked or forgotten (foster children or waiting to be adopted children).

So no, we didn't.

I too was deeply disappointed by the conservative victories in California, Florida, and Arizona on Tuesday. Bitterest of all, though, was Arkansas' passage of a proposal to ban foster care and adoption by gay parents in that state.

I don't have any words of solace to offer you, except to say that we will keep working. Certainly, the outlook is more hopeful than it might have been under a McCain/Palin administration.

I'm confident we'll see it happen. I just don't know when. I wish I did.
